The restaurant is located in a green garden, the entrance is nice - a green lawn is very rare in this area ;-)
After beeing placed by the waitress you can enjoy the nice view to the caste while you get some cool water ant the menu (and wine-list).
We had 3 times dinner in the restaurant and coosen every time another food - all was great!
My favorite: the grilled octopus!
The winelist is nice and offers a lot of cretan wines for a good price.
The stuff "knows" how to serve the wine and food because they spent a lot of time in highend Restaurants in Swizerland and Austria - they also speak very good english & german.
We wish all the best and we will see them next year.
Just one advise: maybee it would be a good idea, to have a special "dish of the day" beside the food on the menu...
Hervorragendes Essen, sehr freundliche Bedienung, etwas ganz besonderes hier auf Kreta. Absolut empfehlenswert
The food was delicious. All the classic Cretan dishes, and with a modern touch. The couple owing the restaurant was also very nice. A bit more expensive than your traditional tavern, and it's worth every penny.

Excellent moment dans un cadre très agréable. Une cuisine goûteuse et raffinée, respectant la tradition crétoise mais toute en modernité. Les lieux permettent de voir les deux jeunes cuisiniers s'affairer en cuisine avec tellement de sérieux et de concentration. De vrais cuisiniers qui méritent une note de 5/5 sans hésitation. Un serveur très agréable et discret qui fait qu'on passe un agréable moment et qui atteste que l'hospitalité crétoise n'est pas qu'un vain mot mais une réalité. Merci à tous les trois du fonds du coeur. N'hésitez pas à franchir la porte, vous ne le regretterez pas.
Tolles neues Restaurant. Wir hatten den griechischen Salat und das Ceviche als Vorspeise, dann die gefüllten Calamari und den gegrillten Octopus. Mit Abstand das beste Essen im ganzen Urlaub - die traditionellen Gerichte sind äußerst schmackhaft modern interpretiert. Leider waren wir nur kurz in Frangocastello - wären gerne öfters hier essen gegangen. Die Besitzer sind supernett und kompetent. Und es gibt leckeren Sekt - die große Ausnahme auf Kreta. Vielen Dank für den sehr schönen Abend!
