Theodosi restaurant is located in Chania, Crete, in a beautiful location at the top of the hill of Paragoria, at 99 Paparigopoulou Street just outside the city of Chania. In collaboration with small producers who share the same passion for quality Cretan ingredients, Theοdosi restaurant offers you Cretan cuisine with an imaginative menu selection carefully prepared with fresh local products and accompanied by a fine selection of Cretan wine.
Your culinary experience continues on our outdoor patio, offering stunning views of the sea and the city, while enjoying imaginative drinks. Try the famous stuffed mushrooms, the Cretan apaki with grilled vegetables, the hare stew, the lamb with yogurt and saffron accompanied by potatoes with Cretan honey and garlic. We had a fabulous meal here! The best meal on our entire trip! Additionally, the service was excellent. We did not have to ask for various things (menu, water, bill) that we routinely experienced at other restaurants. I would highly recommend!
We had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. It is beautiful located on top of a hill overlooking the sea.

This was an attempt of getting away from the high-pressure tourist spots, and it was a winner. What a wonderful location, no rush, just easy going, very polite and forthcoming service, and all recommendations was backed by equally good food, wine and atmosphere. Perfect sunset setting, shades available if needed (i know i did, phew hot hot). Would I come here again? YES! And some should you.
We eat in this restaurant for 2 weeks because we stay in the hotel upstairs.

Though it has yet to earn a Michelin star, the precision, creativity, and heart behind every dish suggest that it's well on its way.
I opted for the ten-course tasting menu, eager to immerse myself in the chef’s full culinary narrative. What followed was a flawless journey through local flavors, elevated with international finesse. Every plate - from the inventive starters to the elegant desserts - was a triumph. Rich, nuanced, and beautifully presented, each dish told its own story, without ever losing sight of the island’s gastronomic roots.
If I’m to offer a single critique, it’s this: the portions were unexpectedly generous. By the seventh course, I was gloriously full… by the tenth, I was asking for a takeaway box. It’s a rare kind of problem to have - too much of a good thing - but one that travelers with limited luggage space should bear in mind.
The service at Theodosi matches the food: thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely kind. Add to that a smart wine selection and a setting that captures the magic of a Mediterranean evening, and you have a restaurant that doesn’t just serve dinner - it delivers memory.
Theodosi may not have its Michelin star yet, but make no mistake: the spark is there. And it's shining brighter with every course.

We were thrilled to have the opportunity to visit Theodosi on the last day of our trip to Chania. The atmosphere is idyllic, the food is exquisite and they make you feel like family. It was our favorite dining experience of our whole trip to Greece. We will definitely be retuning on our next trip to Crete!
We were pleasantly surprised by this Restaurant. The view was stunning, the service was great and the food was delicious. On top of that it was very affordable. The offer of three course for 25 Euro was amazing. The dessert was VERY sweet but thats just a pallet thing. Some might like it that way. Overall I highly recomend this one. But you def. need a car.

The food is ok and tasty, however I find it to be not completely well balanced as I had a pasta with shrimps and cream and there was way too much pasta for few shrimps.

Our party of 4 celebrated an anniversary at this restaurant and had the "Taste of Crete" from the Prix menu option. It was 10 courses/dishes that were served family style, so each of us received some of each. Every single dish was divine! We had to take 2 entrees home with us, because it was so much food. They even brought us Raki and then glasses of champagne to celebrate the occasion. Service was great but my only recommendation is that the server announce each course and let us know what it was. Without the menu to reference, we wouldn't have known. Excellent view. Prices were very reasonable.
We have been to the restaurant before and again we weren't disappointed. The meals we had were all delicious and well presented, with some a nice twist on Cretan recipes. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is an easy location to find and park at. Highly recommend.

The restaurant takes fine dining to a high level. Since it's not in the main area of Chania, you're able to see the ocean from a hill top, with an amazing view of the sunset. The food was absolutely amazing, with us having traditional dishes of a veal stroganoff, shrimp pasta, and grilled chicken. I strongly recommend having the 4 corse menu option. Extremely affordable for quality and amount you receive.

We come here whenever we can! The food every time is absolutely amazing, honestly try it and see for yourself!! There is a lot of veggie options too which is nice. The best time to go is when the sun is setting, the view is so beautiful and just adds to how lovely this place really is. Friendly staff, always so polite and helpful! I am from chania and can say this is one of the best places for food 1000% 😁

On the other hand it is absolutely necessary to make an effort on the friendliness of the server. He blows during the service, he seems overwhelmed by work and this creates an unwelcoming atmosphere.
We visited this lovely restaurant with friends and family on 4 August. It's in a great location with a fabulous view at sunset. The staff are attentive and friendly, the place has a nice decor and is clean. The dishes were absolutely delicious, well presented and good value moneywise. We would highly recommend the lamb shank, grilled octopus, chicken Mac'n Cheese and zucchini blooms and fillo rolls. We'll definitely go back.
