In a historic Neoclassical building, designed by Ernst Moritz Theodor Ziller in 1923, the imposing hotel La Boheme stands apart fully renovated and elegant. Ziller’s style, unique within the neoclassicism, is inspired by Antiquity, Byzantium, the Renaissance and from Northern European touches in a special blend with the French / Parisian exterior and interior design. Neoclassical buildings have design elements found in classic architectural styles. The Bavarians brought neoclassicism in Athens in 1830 and established it as a formal architectural style for public buildings. During the period 1820-1920 there was a massive construction of neoclassical buildings in Athens.
