Nice location on a pedestrian street close to the acropolis museum. Food we had was lovely authentic home cooked Greek. The staff in particular were very friendly and attentive and went above and beyond to find a drink suitable for my son. Highly recommended.

A wonderful Greek tavern in the heart of popular tourist destination Makrigianni, just across the Acropolis Museum.
The restaurant serves traditional Greek dishes, including some fresh fish options. From the starters I underline the fish roe salad (Taramasalata) ,one of the top I’ve had. The fresh hot starter of sardines was very nice.
The fresh fish was excellent. The meat was quality. Also the bread, especially the pita bread deserves a mention. Yummy! The people who tried it, liked the baklava as well. Very decent wine selection, for different budgets.
What really makes the place stand out is the wonderful service. While the area is full of below-average tourist traps, this place is not one. Service is attentive, polite, charming and quality. From start to finish. I want to mention here Dimitri’s who made our experience a truly wonderful one. He was exceptionally helpful and informative with the wine selection. Also offering food pairings— which resulted in a delicious lunch. I learned a lot from him and we had fun.
If you are in the area, don’t think twice, visit the place. It’s lovely. Excellent lunch spot.
My boyfriend and I went to Elaea twice within the three days we spent in Athens and if time permitted, we would've gone again. The service at Elaea was impeccable both times and the food was so amazing. Best meal of my three-week trip to Italy, Greece, and Malta. I had the chicken skewers both times, and my boyfriend tried the lamb skewers and another lamb dish. You need to try their baklava if you go, it's AMAZING! Great prices, and such great service.
The service here was excellent. Everyone on the team went above and beyond to make sure our meal went seamlessly. They even taught us a phrase for good appetite and gave us a liquor to try (and a non-alcoholic sip for the kids. It was the perfect welcome to Greece and I would recommend it.
